I have read and read again your wonderful book. It is one of the best things I have ever purchased.... in my humble opinion. Thank you for covering all of the practical aspects of stained glass. And thank you also for the videos that accompany the many topics that you cover in your book.
Thank you: that's generous spirited of you to say so. Our plan is that this new series will provide a full account of the individual techniques which the book presented as a bird's-eye view. We're happy you can continue working with us here.
Thank you for all you do. I loved the time at Bryn Mawr when I participated in your class. Meeting the other glass painters was a treat as well. I am sorry to report that I’ve not been active lately as my time after work is spent building and working on airplanes, but one day I hope to get back to mixing and brushing excellent paint. Mesmerizing.
We loved working with you, July: it was a wonderful time and we'll never forget it. All the best with your current devotions. And when you return to glass painting, we're glad you'll know where to find us.
Time means very little when you're retired, but thanks for the kind thought! Hopefully the upgrade will become operational at some point, and I can try again then.
Just a note: I clicked on "upgrade to paid" and was taken to a "Choose a subscription plan" screen that had several options. The one that seemed to be the default was "Individual/Annual" which was fine with me, and my email was already filled in, so that was good. Just below my email was a blank box that I assumed might be for my password, but it's not active, i.e. it's not clickable and I can't type anything in it, so I just proceeded to click on "subscribe." At that point the subscribe button itself went pale, but nothing else happened. It's been several minutes now and nothing has changed. Just for fun I clicked on the tab key a few times and I noticed that things appeared in the bottom left corner outside the active screen, but after several clicks they stopped showing and now nothing at all on that whole screen is clickable.
Did I do something wrong? When I tried to post this comment, I got a pop-up saying that I had to be authenticated, and that I'd get an email to do that. It came, I followed its instructions, I got directed back to the screen I had started on to upgrade, only now nothing seemed to be active. I got a second pop-up saying that I needed to be re-authenticated and that I'd get a second email, which simply linked me back here again. Hopefully it's all sorted now, we'll see when I hit "Post" again! But I see that "Upgrade to paid" is still active up top, so I guess that part at least didn't work...
We're sorry for the bother of a computer system which did not work the way it was meant to. Thank you so much for wanting to upgrade to a paid subscription. We hope the rest of your day is filled with joy, and that something in our future letters makes up for your lost time today.
After several more unsuccessful tries, I decided to switch browsers (to Edge instead of Firefox) and the transaction finally went through. Maybe that will help others who might have similar problems.
$30 a year or $5 a month. To be clear with you: most letters, videos and PDFs will be free to everyone. If someone can subscribe though, it greatly helps towards our costs.
There is always a benefit to reviewing our knowledge. I'm really looking forward to getting back into it...

I agree . I
I come back to it often. And learn more!

Nope, it didn't work. I click on the box and up comes the upgrade screen, but nothing on it is clickable...
